Organic Potato Chips

who doesn’t enjoy a good Organic Potato Chip every now and then? My go-to is salt and vinegar… but I’ll be damned if I’ll tell you I’ve come up with a new all-in-one flavor that’ll have you singing along with your besties.

What is it? It’s a rosemary and garlic organic potato chip recipe! Oh my gosh, can I just say, roses and garlic are a match made in heaven! Add a bit of salt and we’re good to go!

But let’s get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we?

WHY YOU SHOULD BE MAKING YOUR OWN CHIPS

I know who has time for chips, right? But seriously guys, they’re super easy to make and way better tasting than store bought potato chips!

Most of the time, the potato chips you buy in the store are made with GMOs (GMO potatoes), GMOs (GMO oils) and refined salts. Depending on which brand you’re buying, there are a lot of other (unpronounceable!) ingredients that you’ll want to avoid. Just remember this rule: if you can’t say the ingredient, don’t use it.

In my rosemary garlic potato chip recipe, you’ll be using organic potatoes (I sometimes grow them myself!), coconut oil, or olive oil and of course, some delicious unsalted sea salt. I cut fresh rosemary from my garden and mince garlic and we’re ready to go!

TIPS AND TRICKS TO MAKE THE BEST CHIPS!

Here are a few tips on how to make the best chips:

  1. Use organic potatoes.
  2. Do not limit yourself to one type of potato.
  3. Experiment with different types of potatoes.
  4. Cut your potatoes very thin, the thinner the better!
  5. The crisper the chips are, the more crispy they are.
  6. Use a mandolin.

This is the mandolin I use. I have used it for years and it does not dull at all. It cuts very thin potatoes.

  1. Use good quality oils.

I prefer coconut oil. It leaves a delicious taste.

  1. Cooled chips should be stored in a paper bag.
  2. Store them in plastic bags to keep them crunchy.

TO FRY, BROIL OR DEHYDRATE

When it comes to making potato chips, there are a few different ways to go about it. Frying them is the most authentic way to make them, but it’s a little messy and has a lot more calories. Dehydrated chips are a great way to make chips that are healthy and tasty, but they take a while to make because they’re dehydrated at such low temperatures. Baked or broiled chips are my favorite way to make them. All you have to do is slice them up, drizzle them with a drizzle of oil, bake them or broil them. Now let’s take a look at my favorite organic potato chip recipe. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
